Student Advice and Support Service
The Student Advice and Support Service is based in the Student Support Centre and offers a free, confidential information and advice service for all Loughborough University Students, covering housing, finance, legal matters and other issues.
Specific support provided includes:
- debt advice and financial support
- advice on legal matters, including consumer/employment rights
- information on the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants
- help for disabled students - discrimination/eligibility for benefits
International students can also receive advice in the following areas:
- immigration advice for students and their families
- help with visa applications, extensions of stay and the right to work
- police registration
- help with placing children in local schools
- general help with settling into the UK and life at university
- HOST scheme
