Associate Teaching Course
The Associate Teaching Course (ATC) is accredited by the Higher Education Academy. It provides professional development in relation to teaching for a range of staff including:
- Individuals who support student learning as part of their broader working role - for example, academic librarians, learning technologists, student advisors
- Part-time academic staff not undertaking the New Lecturers' Course
- Researchers with regular teaching responsibilities.
The Associate Teaching Course (ATC) may besuitable for Postgraduate Research Students, but only if they are undertaking substantial teaching duties.
The ATC may be started at any time and takes 1-2 years to complete. Successful completion confers eligibility for Associate status of the Higher Education Academy (AHEA).
Full details of the ATC can be accessed via the ATC website on the Learn server. To access these web pages you need a university Username and Password.
