Charged Printing Service

Print / Copy Devices
IT Services print / copy devices are accessed from either of two queues:
-
Student-Mono [Staff-Mono for staff] Monochrome [black and white] (double-sided by default).
-
Student-Colour [Staff-Colour for staff] Colour (single sided by default.)
Once the print request has been made, go to a print / copy device, swipe your Student ID card, and select what is to be printed. Note that if you make the request in one lab (say, Bridgeman) and there is a long queue, or the paper has run out, you can still go to another lab with print / copy devices (say, Haslegrave) and print from there - these queues can print at any print / copy device.
Buying Printer Credits
If you are on campus, printer credits can be obtained from the Print Credit ePay System at https://printpayments.lboro.ac.uk/safecom/. From a computer lab there is a shortcut from the Start button. See Using the ePay system. If you are not on campus, you must connect to the VPN portal at https://vpn.lboro.ac.uk, log in and select Print Credit ePayment System.
You can also purchase printer credits from the Library Information Desk (minimum charge £5) during opening hours.
Note that the printers run by Design and Print Services do not use print credits, you must pay in cash at their reception desk.
Printing from Windows Labs
All labs are configured to use the student-mono, staff-mono, student-colour, and staff-colour print queues.
To print, it's best to select the Print option from the application's File menu or tab; this gives you maximum control on which pages are to be printed and on which printer.
Printing from your own computer
You can print to IT Services print / copy devices from HallNet. The same instructions will work if you are connected via the eduroam wireless network.
