 Background

Graduated from the University of Nottingham with a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering before joining the Sports Technology Research Group in 1998. Awarded a PhD in 2002 for work on correlating players’ subjective perceptions of golf equipment with the sound and vibration measured from impact. Spent nine years conducting research for a leading American golf manufacturer as well as supervising two other golf related projects. Recently expanded the subjective perception research into other sports including the comfort of footwear and protective equipment.
