KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT RESEARCH GROUP Welcome to the Knowledge Management Research Group (KMRG)! The Knowledge Management Research Group is a multidisciplinary research group with members who have diverse backgrounds. Members are not only from different departments at Loughborough University but are also from universities across the world; they are also from a wide range of private, public and third sector organisations. It is an interest in knowledge management that brings these academics, practitioners and research students together. The group has been formed to cover a wide range of topics related to the generation, acquisition, organisation, storage and retrieval, dissemination and application of knowledge. As such, topics can range from information systems to organisational culture, from process management to innovation, and from electronic communication to intellectual capital. The group holds seminars throughout the academic year – please do come along and join in the discussions! The next seminar is on Wednesday April 25th 2012 when Marlize Palmer from the Welsh Government will be joining us. The schedule for 2011-12 can be found here – it will be added to as speakers confirm their availability. Our research projects are extensive. Examples of recently completed and current projects can be found here – one from Dr Louise Cooke and Dr Tom Jackson and another from Dr Donald Hislop. We are also fortunate to host Visiting Researchers from time to time – Dr Kamla Ali Al-Busaidi has recently joined us. Kamla’s profile can be found here. The group is coordinated by Dr Gillian Ragsdell and is administered from the Department of Information Science.
