Dr Ben BuckleyLecturer in Organic Chemistry (RCUK Fellow)
Originally from Nottingham, Ben Buckley completed his degree in Manchester and then moved back to the East Midlands to carry out his PhD with Professor Phil Page in the area of catalytic asymmetric epoxidation. Ben worked as a PDRA with Phil Page for a further year on the synthesis of N-heterocyclic carbene ligands. In 2004 he was appointed as a Loughborough University Research Fellow and in September 2007 as a Lecturer in Organic Chemistry (RCUK Fellow). Ben’s current areas of interest include asymmetric catalysis, green chemistry and natural product synthesis. The Buckley Group research pages. |
